We’ve gone 3-2 in our Week 2 Best Bets and want to finish the week on a strong note. I’ll go through some thoughts that I have on the game along with some potential weaknesses on either side of the ball.

First things first, the Best Bet.

Saquon Barkley Longest Rush o15.5 (-105) FanDuel

Falcons @ Eagles

We have some bird-on-bird action with the Dirty Birds coming to the City of Brotherly Love to face the Eagles. The Falcons lost a tough game to the Steelers last week where they struggled offensively. Kirk struggled in his debut by going 16/26 for 155 yards. He threw for 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. Bijan Robinson was finally unleashed and accounted for over 100 offensive yards. Their leading receiver was Ray-Ray McCloud with 4 catches and 52 yards. The Eagles on the other side are coming off of an international win against the Packers. The obvious bright spot was the debut of Saquon Barkley who accounted for 3 total touchdowns and over 100 scrimmage yards. The Eagles defense did allow big plays down the field as they struggled to contain the Packers offense. They allowed 163 yards on the ground and 253 yards through the air. This points to some opportunities for the Falcons offensive players to have some big days. Meanwhile, the Falcons gave up 150 rush yards and only 133 through the air to the Steelers last week. The pass numbers are a little understated as the Steelers are not a prolific passing team.

The fact that Falcons gave up 150 rush yards last week and allowed Najee Harris to rip off a 20-yard run, gives me confidence that Saquon is going to have a big game tonight. The Eagles have a stout offensive line, and Saquon can break a big run at any time of the game. He typically either gets started early or will break one when the game is on the line. Either way, he will have plenty of carries which will provide him plenty of chances to get at least one run of over 16 yards. Last week he broke one late for 34 yards. He will be performing in front of a home crowd for the first time and will be juiced up to live up to the hype of his signing. Additionally, Jalen Hurts struggled with turnovers last week. The Eagles OC, Kellen Moore, may want to focus more on the ground game in order to control the game. Jalen Hurts’ top target, AJ Brown, is out for the game which takes away one of their deep ball threats. Look for Saquon to have a big night and hopefully end our week 2 on a high note.
