Week 6 is here and so is our Best Bet and matchup analysis. Last week, we fell 3 yards short on Thursday and it led to a tough rest of the week. Let’s turn the page as we are getting into the thick of the NFL season. We have the Eagles traveling up the turnpike to take on the Giants in the Meadowlands. I have gone through the available bets for tonight and picked the one that I think should be a lock. Let’s make some money!

Tyrone Tracy Jr. Receiving Yards over 10.5
Eagles @ Giants
Match-up Overview and History
The 4-1 Eagles are traveling to New Jersey to take on the 1-4 Giants. The Eagles are coming off of their first loss of the season to the Broncos. The Giants are coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Saints. These teams have faced each other 187 times. The Eagles lead the all-time series with a record of 96-89-2. In the last 5 matchups, the Eagles have won 4 of 5. The most recent game was an Eagles victory on January 5th, 2025. That was a 20-13 Eagles win, when they rested all of their starters.
The Eagles are 7.5 point favorites tonight. The public is favoring the Eagles with 76% of the bets and 82% of the money being on the Eagles. The points total for this game is set at 40.5. 58% of the bets are being placed on the over while 53% of the money is being placed on the under. Some trends to keep in mind for tonight; Jalen Huts is 1-8 against the spread when favored by more than 7 points. The Giants have also not won a Thursday Night Game in 10 years.

Eagles Offense
The Eagles offense has not been performing the way that they were expected to this year. A new offensive coordinator has opened the door to questions about job security amongst the coaching staff. Those questions are mainly coming from Philly fans. In the real world, the Eagles are 4-1 and have been finding ways to win games in an ugly fashion. They are scoring 25 points per game, which is 12th in the NFL. The passing offense is ranked 31st in the league, averaging 161 yards per game. The wide receivers for this team have seemingly been an afterthought. Every other week, there is an AJ Brown story showing his frustration at the lack of his involvement. Devonta Smith is the quiet receiver in the room, but his numbers are down as well. Another area that is struggling to live up to last year is the run game. They are the 25th ranked rush attack in the league, averaging 99 yards a game. Saquon Barkley is only averaging 53.4 yards a game, which is far below his 2000 yard average. A big component to the slow start on offense can of course be attributed to the new play caller. A less talked about component is the offensive line. They are vastly different than last year and are injured at key spots. For example, Landon Dickerson will be out tonight. The Eagles have a chance at a get right game against a Giants defense that lets up a lot of yards. However, the Giants have a strong defensive line unit which might cause issues for Jalen Hurts.
Eagles Defense
On defense, Philadelphia is allowing an average of 21.8 yards per game. That is ranked 16th in the NFL. They are allowing 211 yards per game through the air, which is 15th in the league. On the ground, they are allowing 126 yards per game, which is ranked 22nd. They might be without Jalen Carter at defensive tackle, which does not bode well for this defense. Without Carter, they have been run on by nearly every team. The Giants are a running team with a mobile quarterback. It will be interesting to see how the trenches matchup against on another. With so many injuries to the Giants receiving corps, the Eagles could stack the box in an effort to take away the run and force Jaxson Dart to throw the ball.
Giants Offense
The Giants offense comes into this game limping. They got a shot in the arm a few weeks ago by naming Jaxson Dart the new starting quarterback. In that game, they lost their top receiver, Malik Nabers, for the year. The following week they lost their second receiver, Darius Slayton, to a hamstring issue. They will be trotting out Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, and Beax Collins at wide receiver. This pass game so far this year, is averaging 203 yards per game, which is 18th in the league. Given the injuries, they will most likely lean on their run game, which is averaging 117 yards a game. That is the 13th best rush attack in the league. The run game is led by Cam Skattebo who has 240 yards on 63 carries. They get Tyrone Tracy Jr. back from injury. Dart is also a threat with his legs, adding 50+ rush yards in each of his first 2 starts. They will have to find a way to move the ball despite being down their top two receivers.
Giants Defense
The defense for the Giants is a talented group but has struggled with consistency. The defensive line consisting of Dexter Lawrence, Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, and Kayvon Thibodeaux is one of the most talented groups that you will see in the league. The coaching scheme has been criticized for not being creative in the secondary, which has led to issues getting off the field. The unit as a whole is allowing 25.4 yards per game, which is 22nd in the league. They struggle against the run and pass. They allow 237 pass yards per game, which is 24th in the league. Against the run, they are the 26th ranked defense, allowing 140 yards per game. In a matchup where their offense may not be able to score many points, the defense will need to step up and keep the Eagles out of the end zone.
Best Bet Background – Tyrone Tracy Jr. Receiving Yards over 10.5
Tyrone Tracy Jr. was a gem of a draft pick last yar for the Giants. He started off with a decent start this year as the Giants offense was looking to find its identity. In his place, Cam Skattebo has become a star due to his style of play. Tracy returns to the lineup in the nick of time for the Giants tonight. Tracy was a wide receiver in college who turned into a running back in his senior year. Tonight, the Giants are going to be missing their top two receivers and do not have that much confidence in the guys replacing Nabers and Slayton. Tracy was already being used in the pass game this season prior to his injury. He has hit this line in 2 of 3 games that he played this year. He was at 7 yards in the Kansas City game where he injured his shoulder. I would expect the Giants to lean on Tracy in the pass game with all the injuries to their pass catchers.
