Our Best Bets went 1-3 yesterday. We are at 2-3 for the week so we have the chance to get to .500 tonight. Yesterday was rough with AJ Barner missing by 4 yards. Anyway, we will brush ourselves off and get a win tonight. We have a Monday Night Game between the Cowboys and Cardinals. I have gone through the available bets and picked the one that I believe will hit. Let’s make some money!

Best Bet

George Pickens Receiving Yards over 63.5

The 2-5 Cardinals are traveling to Dallas to take on the 3-4-1 Cowboys. The Cowboys are point favorites. The points total is set at 53.5. 75% of the public bets are being placed on the Cowboys to cover. 79% of the bets are being placed on the under.

Game Odds
Cardinals Offense

The Cardinals offense is averaging 21.9 points per game, which is 19th in the league. They have bene struggling to find any kind of consistency. Most of this is tied to the play of the quarterback. While healthy, Kyler Murray was inconsistent and that bled into every part of the offense. Once he went out with injury, Jacoby Brissett came off the bench and made this offense more efficient. As a team, this Cardinals offense is averaging 199 yards per game, which is 23rd in the league. They have a favorable matchup against a Dallas defense that makes every opposing quarterback look like a Pro Bowler. On the ground, they are averaging 110 yards per game, which is 20th in the NFL. They have been cycling through running backs, and it looks like Bam Knight and Michael Carter will be splitting carries. This Cardinals offense needs to take advantage of a weak Cowboys defense tonight if they want to get their season back on track.

Cardinals Defense

Arizona is allowing 22 points per game, which is 13th in the NFL. They are doing a better job against the run than they are against the pass. On the ground, they are allowing an average of 100 yards per game, which is ranked 12th in the league. Against the pass, they are allowing an average of 234 yards per game, which is 25th in the league. Going against a high-powered Dallas offense will test this defense as they try to keep their offense in the game.

Cowboys Offense

Dallas has one of the highest scoring offenses in the league. They are 2nd and are averaging 30.8 points per game. They are being led by Dak Prescott who is having an MVP caliber year. He has thrown for 2069 yards and 16 TDs so far this year. He is making use of weapons like CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, and Jake Ferguson. Pickens is the leading receiver for the team with 43 receptions, 685 yards, and 6 TDs. Lamb missed some time with injury but since coming back to the team, he has continued to elevate the firepower of this passing attack. They are getting solid production from the run game as well. Javonte Williams has been making the most of his new team and has had a nose for the endzone. He has run for 633 yards and 8 TDs so far this year. The team as a whole is averaging 120 yards per game, which is 13th in the league.

Cowboys Defense

A major reason that the team has a losing record has been the poor play of the defense. They are ranked 31st in points allowed with 31.3 points per game. They have been struggling with injuries and adjusting to Matt Eberflus’ defensive system. They are allowing 258 pass yards per game, which is 31st in the league and 146 yards on the ground er game, which is 29th in the league. They could potentially get back on track tonight against this Cardinals offense, but it will most likely be another shootout effort for this Dallas team.

Best Bet Background – George Pickens Receiving Yards over 63.5

If you are entering a shootout, you need to have a good deep ball threat. The Cowboys have two of them. CeeDee Lamb is one of the best receivers in the game while healthy and George Pickens can make circus catches down the field. Which is why I have chosen him as the best bet for tonight. He is averaging 85.6 yards per game this year. He has gone over the 64-yard mark in 6/8 games so far this year and has done so in the last 3 games. He faces a Cardinals defense that is particularly susceptible to the pass game. They will have the difficult choice of which receiver to blanket tonight, and I have a feeling that Pickens will be left 1:1 tonight.
