It’s Week 10 in the NFL and we are once again starting with an international game. The Sunday slate kicks off at 9:30 AM in Berlin. I have gone through the entire slate and put together 5 Best Bets for today. I also had Jamie pick the winner of the Jaguars-Texans game, as that the closest to a toss-up that we have today. Let’s make some money!

First things first, the Best Bets:

Best Bets

  • Josh Downs Receiving Yards over 34.5
  • Kyle Monangai Rush Yards over 45.5
  • James Cook Rush Yards over 84.5
  • Christian McCaffrey Receiving Yards over 50.5
  • Oronde Gadsden II Receiving Yards over 52.5

Best Bet Background- Josh Downs Receiving Yards over 34.5

The Colts will be kicking off the Sunday slate in Berlin Germany against the Falcons. The Colts are coming off of the worst game of the year in a loss to the Steelers. Despite 6 turnovers, the Colts managed to make it only a one score loss. Today, they will be looking to bounce back against Atlanta. Atlanta has the league’s top pass defense so it may be difficult to throw against them. However, the line for Josh Downs is just too low. He has gone over this line in 5/8 games this year. He is third on the team in targets and fourth on the team in yards. I expect the Falcons to be focused on Michael Pittman Jr., Tyler Warren, and Alec Pierce. Daniel Jones will need to rely on all of his weapons and the matchup today gives Josh Downs an opportunity to shine.

Best Bet Background – Kyle Monangai Rush Yards over 45.5

Monangai had a breakout performance last week against the Bengals. He ran the ball 26 times for 176 yards against the Bengals. He was filling in for the injured D’Andre Swift who is back in the lineup this week. Swift is dealing with a groin injury and is currently listed as questionable. There is a chance that Monangai and Swift split carries and makes both of them a risky bet. Except for today, when they play the Giants. The Giants are the 31st ranked run defense in the league. Teams have figured out that you can run the ball on this defense. The linebackers and secondary are so injured that if a back gets through to the second level, they could take it to the house. A couple of weeks ago, they allowed both of the Eagles running backs to gain over 100 yards on the ground. Last week, they could not stop either of the 49ers running backs. The game script will be calling for the Bears to rely on the run as there are calls for wind and snow in Chicago. Both backs could potentially have a big game but with Swift dealing with a groin injury, I am taking Monangai to go over 45.5 yards today.

Best Bet Background – James Cook Rush Yards over 84.5

The Bills are traveling to Miami to face the Dolphins today. To put it plainly, the Bills have owned the Dolphins recently. More specifically, Josh Allen and James Cook have had a ton of success against the Dolphins. Today may just end up being another dominant performance by the Bills. They are flying high after a win over the Chiefs, and the Dolphins are a team that is trading away pieces of their defense. The Dolphins have the 30th ranked rush defense in the league, allowing 145 yards per game. The Bills have the best run attack in the league, averaging 161 yards per game. James Cook has been averaging 108 yards per game this year and has gone over the 85-yard mark in 6/8 games. Today should be another big performance by Cook as the Bills are heavy favorites and should be playing with the lead in this game.

Best Bet Background – Christian McCaffrey Receiving Yards over 50.5

Our 4 PM Best Bet is going to going to be determined in the NFC West. The Rams and 49ers are playing each other in a Week 5 rematch. The 49ers took that game with a 23-20 victory. Today, the Rams will be looking to get even to stay in the heavily contested NFC West race. For the 49ers, they will once again be starting Mac Jones at quarterback. This means that they will have to continue to lean on their running back, Christian McCaffrey. CMC is the team’s leading rusher and receiver. He is averaging 69.6 receiving yards per game. He has gone over 51 yards in 8/9 games this year. The entire 49ers offense runs through their superstar back. He had 82 receiving yards in the Week 5 game against the Rams. I expect that this will be a close game with plenty of back-and-forth and I would expect CMC to continue to be the primary target in the pass game for the 9ers.

Best Bet Background – Oronde Gadsden II Receiving Yards over 52.5

The primetime game tonight will be between the Steelers and Chargers. The Steelers come into this game with the league’s worst pass defense. They are allowing 278 pass yards per game. That makes for a tough matchup with the Chargers who are the 6th ranked pass attack in the NFL. Rookie tight end Oronde Gadsden has emerged as a serious threat for this Chargers offense. He has only officially started 3 games this year but in the past 4 games, he has totaled 68, 164, 77, and 68 yards. He has become Justin Herberts favorite target over the middle. I would expect that connection to continue tonight against a Steelers defense allowing the most amount of pass yards in the league.

Jamie’s Pick of The Week

Jamie’s picks have hit a cold streak as he has stacked 3 losses in a row. He is 6-3 in his picks. Today, he will be picking the winner of the Jaguars – Texans game. 50% of the public bets are being placed on the Chiefs. Let’s see if Jamie can get back to his winning ways!
