Week 13 continues to roll as our Sunday Slate kicks off today. Our Best Bets stand at 2-2 for the week so far. I have gone through the entire slate and put together 4 Best Bets for today. I also had Jamie pick the winner of the Texans- Colts game, as that the closest to a toss-up that we have today. Let’s make some money!

First things first, the Best Bets:

Best Bets

  • Christian McCaffrey Receiving Yards over 37.5
  • Cardinals/Buccaneers over 44.5
  • Jaylen Warren Rush Yards over 60.5
  • Broncos -6.5
Best Bet Background- Christian McCaffrey Receiving Yards over 37.5

It looks like it is going to be a freezing cold day in Cleveland as the 49ers take on the Browns. The Browns have one of the best defense in the NFL, which makes this game look like it will be a low scoring affair. The key to the 49ers offense has been Christian McCaffery all year. He is used in both the run and pass game to great success. He has been averaging 131.7 total yards per game. Today, he has his lowest receiving yards line in several weeks. He has gone over this line in the past 5 straight games. As the 9ers face the elite pass rush of the Browns, they will need to get the ball out quickly, which plays directly into this pick. Add in the weather factor, I believe that CMC will be a key factor in the San Fran pass game.

Best Bet Background – Cardinals/Buccaneers over 44.5

A slight departure from our normal Best Bet selection here but this points total seems too low for the Cards and Bucs. These teams are both allowing over 25 points per game and have plenty of firepower on offense to put up points. This game has the making of a sloppy back-and-forth game. For the Cardinals, they will once again be starting Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. Brissett has been the starter of 6 games. Each of those 6 games have had point totals of 44 or more. For Tampa Bay, they are dealing with one of the leagues most injured roster. Baker Mayfield looks to be gritting it out through a shoulder injury today, but they get a major weapon back with the return of Bucky Irving.

Best Bet Background – Jaylen Warren Rush Yards over 60.5

The 4 PM games are not that great today. The best game available is going to be the Steelers-Bills game. It is remarkable how similar these two teams have played throughout the year. Both of them had lofty expectations coming into the year and have failed to live up to the hype. They have been inconsistent and losing games that they shouldn’t lose. A common theme for the Bills has been their opponent’s ability to run on them. They are the 30th ranked run defense allowing 148 yards per game. The Steelers do not wow you with their running numbers, but they like to run heavy personnel packages. This means that they try to bully their opponents in order to get the run game going. The Bills have shown that they are able to get bullied. I would look for Jaylen Warren to continue his season average of 60 yards per game today.

Best Bet Background – Broncos -6.5

The primetime game is between the Broncos and Commanders. Similar to the rest of the Sunday slate, it is not the greatest game. The Commanders are 3-8 and are starting to see the wheels come off of their team. The Broncos are 9-2 and have Super Bowl aspirations. Denver has one of the best defenses in the league, while the Commanders have one of the worst. While Denver typically likes to play close games (they are 5-5-1 against the spread) the Commanders do not match up well at all against them.

Jamie’s Pick of The Week

Jamie’s picks are the only picks that are winning consistently for us this year. He is 8-4 in his picks. Today, he will be picking the winner of the Texans – Colts game. Let’s see if Jamie can keep it going!
