Week 14 continues to roll as our Sunday Slate kicks off today. We got back in the win column on Thursday with our Best Bet cashing. I have gone through the entire slate and put together 4 Best Bets for today. I also had Jamie pick the winner of the Jaguars – Colts game, as that the closest to a toss-up that we have today. Let’s make some money!

First things first, the Best Bets:

Best Bets

  • Alec Pierce Receiving Yards over 51.5
  • De’Von Achane Rushing Yards over 82.5
  • D’Andre Swift Rushing Yards over 47.5
  • Danielle Hunter to Record a Sack
Best Bet Background- Alec Pierce Receiving Yards over 51.5

The Colts are traveling to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. Historically, the Colts have not played well in Jacksonville. They are looking to turn it around today as both teams are fighting for the top spot in their division. A consistent producer for the Colts has been Alec Pierce. He is averaging 68.9 yards per game and has emerged as a top target for Daniel Jones. This Jaguars defense, while improved, has been allowing a lot of pass yards. They are allowing 246 yards per game, which is 27th in the league. I would expect Jones to continue to lean on Pierce as they try to take advantage of this mismatch to win this game.

Best Bet Background – De’Von Achane Rushing Yards over 82.5

The Dolphins are taking on the Jets in New Jersey today. The Fins have seemingly found their stride as they are looking to dig themselves out of a big hole. The Jets are a team that is trying to rebuild as they look to the future. On a cold day in the Meadowlands, the style of this game will most likely favor the run game. Meaning, the Dolphins will have the chance to continue to use De’Von Achane effectively. Achane is averaging 86.2 yards per game. He has blazing speed and can break off chunk plays while making it look easy. He has a favorable matchup against a Jets defense that is allowing 137 rush yards per game, which is 29th in the league. The Dolphins have not been able to throw the ball effectively, so they have been relying on the run game in recent weeks. I would expect more of the same today.

Best Bet Background – D’Andre Swift Rushing Yards over 47.5

The 4 PM window has 3 divisional matchups but the one with the most hype will be the Packers – Bears game at Lambeau Field. The Bears are currently the number 1 seed in the NFC and are looking to show the world that they are legitimate. They have found success by forcing turnovers and running the ball well. D’Andre Swift has been a workhorse for this offense, averaging 70.4 yards per game. He faces a stingy Packers defense, but he should be able to gain over 48 yards today. Ben Johnson will not abandon the run as it helps set up his entire offense. Additionally, the pass game has not been where he wants it to be, so running the ball with his backs are a major part of their offense. It might be a grind, but Swift should be able to get over his total in this hard fought divisional game.

Best Bet Background – Danielle Hunter to Record a Sack

The Primetime game is going to be a big matchup between the Texans and Chiefs in Arrowhead. The Texans have been putting on a defensive clinic this year. They are the top defense in the league in terms of points allowed. Their pass rush is relentless and have several key contributors. Danielle Hunter is currently their sack leader and I love his matchup tonight. Patrick Mahomes is able to elude sacks but tonight, the right side of his offensive line is doubtful. It could be a feeding frenzy for this Texans defensive line. Will Anderson Jr. and Hunter could have big nights. The reason I am choosing Hunter is because you can get him at plus money. I am looking forward to seeing the chess match between Andy Reid’s offense and Demeco Ryan’s defense, but I would expect Hunter to get home at least once tonight.

Jamie’s Pick of The Week

Jamie’s picks are the only picks that are winning consistently for us this year. He is 8-5 in his picks. Today, he will be picking the winner of the Jaguars – Colts game. Let’s see if Jamie can keep it going!
