Week 18 continues to roll as our Sunday Slate kicks off today. Our Best Bets went 1-1 yesterday. Today, there are a lot of games that do not mean much. Teams are not playing their starters and are either getting ready for the playoffs or the offseason. That being said, I was able to find 4 bets that I think are going to hit. I also had Jamie pick the winner of the Ravens – Steelers game, as that the closest to a toss-up that we have today. Let’s make some money!
First things first, the Best Bets:
Best Bets
- Bijan Robinson Rush + Receiving Yards over 128.5
- CJ Stroud Pass Yards over 211.5
- Rhamondre Stevenson Rush Yards over 32.5
- Aaron Rodgers Pass Yards over 200.5
Best Bet Background- Bijan Robinson Rush + Receiving Yards over 128.5
One of the more interesting games in the 1 PM window will be the Saints- Falcons game. The winner of this game will help determine the division winner. If the Saints win, the Bucs will go to the playoffs. If the Falcons win, the Panthers are in. While the Saints and Falcons are both on the outside looking in, they are still two teams that are playing with some pride right now. New Orleans has seemingly found their quarterback in Tyler Shough as h has led them to a 4-game win streak. The Falcons got a boost from Kirk Cousins and are winners of 3 straight. Today, the matchup to watch will be Bijan Robinson against this Saints defense. The Saints are allowing 123 rush yards per game, which is 23rd in the league. Bijan is essentially the entire offense for the Falcons. He is used on the ground and through the air. He has averaged 140.9 total yards per game this season. With a favorable matchup, I believe that he should easily clear that mark.
Best Bet Background – CJ Stroud Pass Yards over 211.5
The Texans will be hosting the Colts in a divisional matchup. The Texans are still in play for the division title with a win today and a Jaguars loss. In short, they look like they will be playing their starters today. The Colts are currently the 31st ranked defense against the pass. They are allowing 250 yards per game this season. That makes the line for CJ Stroud very enticing. Stroud is averaging 220.9 yards per game this year and had one of his best games of the season against the Colts in week 13. He threw for 276 yards in that game. With the division on the line, I think that the Texans will play the Colts tough as they ramp up for the playoffs.
Best Bet Background – Rhamondre Stevenson Rush Yards over 32.5
The 4 PM window is crowded but I am going to be paying attention to the Patriots- Dolphins game. The Dolphins have a chance to play spoiler as the Patriots are looking to secure the best seeding possible in the playoffs. The matchup to watch will be this Patriots run game against a weak Miami run defense. Miami is allowing 125 yards per game, which is 24th in the league. The weather in Foxborough is calling for it to be cold and possibly snowy. That points to a run heavy game plan for the Patriots. Stevenson has been averaging around 40 yards per game and is the more physical back for the Pats. I would imagine that they will lean on him today to get the dirty yards as they look to close out the season against their divisional rival.
Best Bet Background – Aaron Rodgers Pass Yards over 200.5
We head to primetime to decide the winner of the AFC North. The Steelers are hosting the Ravens in Pittsburgh as the final AFC playoff spot will be awarded to the winner. Both teams have had an up-and-down year. The Steelers had a shot to lock up the division last week by fell short against the Browns. The Ravens have seemingly remembered that they have derrick Henry in their backfield and have started to lean into the run game heavily. They will get Lamar Jackson back tonight which will add to the firepower of this game. However, I am going to be betting on the opposing quarterback. Aaron Rodgers is entering what could be his final game of his career. He will be without his top target in DK Metcalf but he is facing a Ravens defense that has struggled against the pass all year. They are allowing 245 yards per game, which is 29th in the league. Rodgers will depend on all of his available weapons and I believe should be able to grind out just over 200 yards to close out the year.
Jamie’s Pick of The Week
Jamie’s picks are the only picks that are winning consistently for us this year. He is 11-5 in his picks. Today, he will be picking the winner of the Ravens – Steelers game. Let’s see if Jamie can keep it going!
