The weekend kicked off yesterday with one great game and one blowout. The Broncos pulled off a 33-30 OT win(with some help from the refs) over the Bills. Our Best Bet for that game fell short by 2 yards, which was a tough pill to swallow. Then the night game between the Seahawks and 49ers was a 41-6 Seattle victory. The game was never close but our Best Bet hot with room to spare. Today, we have two more games to wrap up the weekend. The Patriots and Texans kick off at 3. Then we have the Bears and Rams at 6:30. I have gone through both games and picked a bet that I believe should be a lock. I also had Jamie pick the winner of the Rams-Bears game. Let’s make some money!

Best Bets
  • Rhamondre Stevenson Rush Yards over 39.5
  • Davante Adams Receiving Yards over 56.5
Best Bet Background -Rhamondre Stevenson Rush Yards over 39.5

The Patriots are hosting the Houston Texans to start our Sunday slate. Both teams are coming off of impressive wins in the wild card round. This game has all the makings of a defensive struggle. The Texans 2nd in the league in terms of points allowed per game and the Pats are ranked 4th. The weather is calling for snow so we can expect a physical game as one side tries to dominate the other. The differentiator in this game will be the Patriots offense. They are the 2nd highest scoring offense in the league that attacks opponents with a balanced approach.

It is for that reason, I am once again rolling with Rhamondre Stevenson for our Best Bet. Stevenson has been the most consistent back on the Patriots and thrives when the game plan calls for physicality. The Patriots will need to grind out yards against this stingy Texans defense and Stevenson has proved to be the grinder. He is averaging 43.1 yards per game and has gone over 50 yards in 4 of the last 5 games. He will have a tough matchup with a dominant Texans defense, however, I think the run game is going to be used heavily in this game. Stevenson should be good for 40 yards today.

Best Bet Background – Davante Adams Receiving Yards over 56.5

The last game of the weekend will kick off at 6:30 today as the Bears host the Rams. The Bears are coming off of a miracle comeback win against the Packers while the Rams are happy to have survived an upset to the Panthers. The weather in Chicago will be cold and windy so we could be up for another incredibly physical game between these two teams.

That being said, a huge issue for the Bears all year has been their defense. They live and die by forcing turnovers but they give up a ton of yards. They are allowing 227 yards per game and does not matchup well against a high powered Rams offense. The Rams, led by Matthew Stafford, have the top scoring offense as well as the best passing offense in the league. Most of the defenses attention will most likely focus on taking away Puka Nacua’s production so this looks like a good matchup for Davante Adams. He is averaging 56.4 yards per game this year but he is finally fully healthy. He has gone over 70 yards in his last two games and provides a deep ball threat for Stafford. The Bears can let up big plays so I would expect Adams to take advantage against a familiar NFC North opponent.

Jamie’s Pick of The Week

Jamie started the playoffs 1-0 last week. Let’s see how he fares today by picking the winner of the Bears-Rams game.
