The Name

There is a common misconception surrounding black dogs that they are unlucky. In several cultures they are represented as guardians of the underworld and are represented as bad omens in general. This stigma has found its way into the pet adoption world and has manifested in something known as Black Dog Syndrome. As a result, black dogs are most likely to not be adopted.

It’s time to change that narrative and what better way to do it than providing weekly NFL winners. During the week, you can expect game previews with picks and best bets for those particular matchups. For the more even line bets that I do not have a lean either way, I will be letting my dog, Jamie, making the picks. Throughout the year, we will be tracking the picks to look for any trends or areas for improvement.

The Bets

Throughout the year, we will be posting about all of the matchups around the league. The posts will highlight the best picks for the entire slate of games based off of what I am able to find and the trends that are being seen for those bets. I will be using DraftKings and FanDuel as my two books. For the games that are hard to pick, we will be turning it over to Jamie to choose for us. There will be times that we get it wrong but as anyone who bets knows, it is all about the ride and the bounce back from those losses.

These picks will be given out for free. Sports and betting on them is a passion of mine and I am doing this for fun, while potentially making some money along the way. If you choose to come along for the ride, please bet responsibly.
