Week 15 started off with one of the worst bad beats that we will see all year. I picked George Kittle to go for over 61.5 receiving yards and he topped out at exactly 61. It was a tough pill to swallow. Especially during a 12-6 snooze fest that the game turned into. We have a full slate of Sunday ball to bounce back. I have gone through the slate and picked 4 Best Bets for the day and provided some background on each. I have even put together a touchdown parlay for the day. Let’s make some money!

First things first, the Best Bets:

Best Bets

  • Lamar Jackson Rush Yards over 42.5 (-110) Fanduel
  • Davante Adams Receiving Yards over 64.5 (-110) Fanduel
  • David Montgomery 1st Quarter Rush Yards over 16.5 (-106) Fanduel
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba Receiving Yards over 65.5 (-113) Fanduel
Best Bet Background- Lamar Jackson Rush Yards over 42.5

Following the Ravens loss to the Eagles. Lamar Jackson stated in his post-game press conference that he needs to run the ball more. In fact, his mom cussed him out about not running the ball enough. Jackson has been averaging 52.2 rush yards per game this year. He has already achieved this rushing total in 9 out of 13 games. Today, he faces a terrible Giants run defense. They are allowing 141 yards per game, which is 29th in the NFL. Given that it was such a personal point of emphasis for Jackson, I would expect him to follow through and have a good day on the ground against the Giants. The only cause for concern is that this game has the chance to get out of hand early. In order for this bet to hit, Jackson will need to take off several times in the first half.

Best Bet Background – Davante Adams Receiving Yards over 64.5

Davante Adams and the Jets are taking on the Jaguars and their 31st ranked pass defense. They are allowing 263.5 yards per game. Since being traded to the Jets, Adams has achieved over 65 yards in 4/7 games. 3 of the games have happened in the last 3 weeks. He has been targeted 7, 12, and 11 times during those games. He has clearly rekindled his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers. I would expect them to be able to take advantage of this weak Jaguars defense and exploit the mismatch.

Best Bet Background – David Montgomery 1st Quarter Rush Yards over 16.5

I am going off my beaten path with this bet here. However, David Montgomery typically starts the game off for the Lions running game. He is averaging 4.4 attempts per 1st quarter and 22.8 yards per first quarter. The Lions are facing the Bills who are vulnerable against the run. They are allowing 123 yards per game, which is 19th in the league. In this marque match up, the Lions will want to start the game off by setting the tone. Look for the Lions to continue their trend of starting the game with Monty coming out of the backfield.

Best Bet Background – Jaxon Smith-Njigba Receiving Yards over 65.5

JSN has emerged as the Seahawks top receiver this year. He has been on an absolute tear recently. He has gone over his line for today in the past 6 games straight. They face the Packers in prime time tonight who have been allowing plenty of yards to their opponents. Seattle is allowing 222 yards per game, which is 21st in the NFL. This game has the potential to turn into a shootout which means that Smith-Njigba should be heavily involved in the game plan. Add in his ability for breaking off a long run after the catch, he should be able to gain over 66 yards tonight.

TD Parlay (+786)
  • Derrick Henry
  • Brian Robinson Jr.
  • Ja’Marr Chase
  • Isiah Pacheco
