To start, I’ll highlight the best value bets that I can find. I’ve gone through the slate and picked three Best Bets and provided some background on each. I have put together a parlay for the day as well. I am also including some other bets that I like and am leaning towards placing. Let’s make some money.

Best Bet Background – Jerome Ford Rush Yds o48.5 (-110) FanDuel

Jerome Ford is currently the lead back in a backfield that is trying to fill the gap left by Nick Chubb. Ford shares the carries with D’Onta Foreman. Last week, Ford rushed 7 times for 64 yards against the Jaguars. Meanwhile, D’Onta Foreman rushed 14 times for 42 yards. While they will continue to split carries, Ford is first on the depth chart. Last year, when he was the number 1 back, he rushed the ball 204 times for 804 yards. He will continue to get touches in tandem with Foreman but will have plenty of opportunities for a big game this week. The Browns as a whole have bene struggling to score points on offense. They are currently 26th in the league in pass yards per game and 21st in rushing yards per game. However, they face an easier challenge this week with the Giants.

The Giants have gotten off to a rough start this week. They got blown out in week 1 by the Vikings and then found a historic way to lose to the Commander in week 2. (They scored 3 tds and allowed none yet still lost). A common thread between these two games have been a struggling defense. They struggle to get teams off of the field on third down. Their secondary is young and allows big plays. Their rush defense is particularly susceptible. They currently rank 28th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed by allowing 163 yards per game. They allowed Aaron Jones to rush for 94 yards in week 1 and 133 yards to Brian Robinson Jr. in week 2. They also allowed 44 yards to Jayden Daniels and 38 to Austin Ekeler. This is the reason why Jerome Ford’s rushing total is attractive. The Browns rush game should be the focal point of this matchup.

Best Bet Background – De’Von Achane Rec Yds o28.5 (-110) FanDuel

The Dolphins made it known in the offseason that they were planning on using Achane more in the passing game this year. So far, they have been true to their words. Through two weeks, he is averaging 7 targets, 7 catches, and 72.5 yards in the air. That was with a healthy Tua in at quarterback. Now, Skylar Thompson is starting for the Dolphins against the Seahawks. The Dolphins offense will look different with a new quarterback at the helm. Thompson doesn’t inspire too much confidence in the pass game so I think that we can expect plenty of checkdowns to the running backs.

Seattle’s defense, particularly in the pass game, is pretty stout so far this year. They are 3rd in the league with 128.5 yards per game. However, those opponents were the Patriots and the Broncos. Those two teams are some of the worst passing offenses so far. They will have a different challenge with this Dolphins offense who has no shortage of weapons. Expect the Dolphins offense to run through Achane and we should see his heavy usage in the pass game to continue.

Best Bet BackgroundTony Pollard Yds o65.5 (-110) FanDuel

The Titans come into this game 0-2 after losing games that they should have won. Will Levis plays a chaotic brand of football and finds a way to lose the game. This Titans offense is built to run the ball and needs a quarterback to limit their mistakes in order to win close games. They rely on their defense and their run game to keep games close. It has been Levis’ propensity for bone headed turnovers that have cost them. The rush offense is currently averaging 135 yards a game. Tony Pollard has gotten off to a decent start after signing with the Titans in the offseason. He ran the ball 16 times for 82 yards in week 1 against the Bears and then ran 17 times for 62 yards against the Jets. This week, the Titans are without backup running back Tyjae Spears which would point towards Pollard playing an even bigger role in the offense.

They face a terrible rush defense in the Packers. The Packers are currently allowing 142 yards per game on the ground. They allowed over 100 yards to each of the two running backs that they have faced this year. Saquon Barkley rushed for 109 in week 1 and Jonathon Taylor rushed for 103 on just 12 carries in week 2. This porous rush defense is going to allow Pollard to have ample opportunities to break off long runs and rack up yards as the game progresses. He should be able to get over 67 yards on the ground fairly easily.
