Week 9 is here and we are coming off of our hottest Sunday yet. Last week we went 4-2 on our Best Bets and hit a huge parlay to put us up big. We have started the week off with a win on Thursday with Joe Mixon hitting his rushing total in the first half. We are going to keep it going today. I have picked out 4 Best Bets for the day and put together a parlay for the day. Let’s make some money!
Best Bets
- Kyle Pitts Receiving Yards o46.5 (-110) FanDuel
- Khalil Shakir Receiving Yards o49.5 (-110) FanDuel
- Romeo Doubs Receiving Yards o43.5 (-110) FanDuel
- Mo-Alie Cox Receiving Yards o9.5 (-115) DraftKings
Best Bet Background- Kyle Pitts Receiving Yards o46.5
Kyle Pitts finally has a quarterback that will throw him the ball. It took a couple of weeks, but it looks like the chemistry between Kirk Cousins and Pitts has developed. Over the last four weeks, Pitts put up 88,70,65, and 91 yard games. His line of 46.5 yards is low and would be the lowest amount of yards that he totals in 5 weeks. He has a favorable matchup against a Dallas pass defense that is 20th in pass yards allowed. They rank 20th in the league against the pass. Last week, they allowed George Kittle to go off for 128 yards. With the weapons that Atlanta has across the board, Dallas is going to have their hands full. Look for Pitts to have his fair share of targets and have a big game today. The other thing to look at in this game would be the Falcons run game. Dallas is the second worst team against the rush. Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier will play a big part in today’s game. This helps Pitts out as it will set up the play action which typically allows for throws to tight ends.
Best Bet Background – Khalil Shakir Receiving Yards o49.5
The Bills are hosting the Miami Dolphins. It is the second time that they matchup this year. The Bills have owned the Dolphins ever since Josh Allen has taken over. The last matchup was the Thursday night game that knocked Tua out for several weeks. Tua is back and the Dolphins offense has finally started to click. I do not believe that they will be able to turn the tide of this rivalry. The receiver room for the Bills got a boost when they traded for Amari Cooper a few weeks back. Cooper has had an impact; however, he is dinged up. Which means that Allens Favorite target, Khalil Shakir, is in line for a big game against their division rivals. Shakir has achieved over 50 yards in 5 of the 7 games that he has played. The last time he faced the Dolphins, he caught 5 catches for 54 yards. So, despite the fact that the Dolphins are 5th in the league against the pass, averaging 176 yards allowed per game, Shakir has the ability to gain yards against them.
Best Bet Background -Romeo Doubs Receiving Yards o43.5
The game of the week will be the Lions traveling to Green Bay to take on the Packers. This has the potential to be either a shootout or a gritty close game won on the ground. Either way, the matchup that catches my eye is the Packers pass offense, which ranks 9th in the NFL, against the Detroit pass defense, which is 27th in pass yards allowed. The Packers spread the ball around fairly evenly in the pass game to their receivers. This is why Romeo Doubs is our best bet for the 4 PM window. He has gained over 45 yards through the air in 5 of the 7 games that he has played. One thing that is concerning is the health of Jordan Love. However, in Malik Willis’ first start against the Colts, Doubs had 3 catches for 62 yards. So, if Love goes down with an injury, it will certainly hinder the pass offense, but it is not a death sentence.
Best Bet Background – Mo-Alie Cox Receiving Yards o9.5
The Colts and Vikings are facing off in the primetime game tonight. The Colts have decided to start Joe Flacco over Anthony Richardson. One thing that has been consistent for Joe Flacco is that he throws the ball to his tight end. This is good news for tight end Mo-Alie Cox. Cox only has 7 catches, 100 yards, and 1 TD this year. In the two games that Flacco was the starter, he has 6 catches, 78 yards and 1 TD. In short, his production has come whenever Flacco is the started. In those two games, he has had catches that have gone for 19 and 22 yards. With his line being 9.5, it should only take 1 catch for him to achieve this total. The Vikings defense has caused major issues for opposing quarterbacks this year. However, they are 30th in pass yards allowed. They will be focusing on taking away the run game and the combination of Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs. That opens the opportunity for Joe Flacco to use his tight end as a security blanket. Cox should be able to gain over 10 yards fairly easily tonight.
