Week 12 is here, and we have a great slate of games this week. We are coming off a couple of weeks where we have gone .500 in our Best Bets. This week, we got off to a slow start with our Thursday Night Best Bet missing. We are looking to turn around what has been a tough month for our Best Bets. That begins at 1 PM today. I have picked out 4 Best Bets and threw together a parlay for the day. This should be a great day of ball, and I can’t wait until kickoff. Let’s make some money!

First things first, the Best Bets:

Best Bets

  • Jahmyr Gibbs Rush Yds o66.5 (-110) FanDuel
  • Travis Kelce Receiving Yds o57.5 (-110) FanDuel
  • Brock Bowers Receiving Yards o59.5 (-110) FanDuel
  • Puka Nacua Receiving Yards o71.5 (-113) FanDuel

Best Bet Background- Jahmyr Gibbs Rush Yds o66.5

The Detroit Lions are traveling to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. The Lions have been rolling on offense and their run game is a huge part of that success. As a team, they are 1st in points scored per game where they are averaging 33.6 points per game. They get up on teams and they keep their foot to the pedal. They have their two headed monster of running backs in Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery that are running wild. Gibbs has been the more consistent of the two when it comes to rush yards. He is averaging 79.6 yards per game. He has the homerun potential to hit his over on 1 play. He is going against a Colts defense that struggles against the run. They are allowing 143 run yards per game, which is 28th in the league. I anticipate the Lions to be able to run all over the Colts. Expect Gibbs to hit his rushing over fairly easily.

Best Bet Background -Travis Kelce Receiving Yds o57.5

The Chiefs were handed their first loss last week courtesy of the Buffalo Bills (and Jamie’s Pick of the Week). They come back this week to face a much weaker opponent in the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have a two-game win streak going but I feel like that will come to an end when Kansas City comes to town. The Panther’s defense has been very weak through the season. They are last in points allowed by averaging 31 points allowed per game. They are weak against both the run (raked 32nd) and the pass (ranked 24th). This matchup is perfect for the Kansas City offense as they look to get back on track. A big part of this effort will be done on the ground but through the air, I anticipate Patrick Mahomes to look to his favorite target in Travis Kelce. Kelce was not as involved in last week’s game against the Bills as he had been in previous weeks. I expect him to have a bounce back game and to hit his receiving over fairly easily.

Best Bet Background – Brock Bowers Receiving Yards o59.5

One of the bright spots for the Raiders this year has been their breakout rookie tight end Brock Bowers. So far this year, he is averaging 7 receptions and 70.6 yards per game. He is clearly the focal point for this offense. They face a tough pass defense in Denver today. It will be a challenge for Las Vegas to keep pace with their divisional game. When these teams played earlier this year, the Broncos blew out the Raiders 34-18. In that game, Bowers had 8 catches for 97 yards and 1 TD. I would expect a similar performance from Brock today as they look to keep pace with the Broncos.

Best Bet Background -Puka Nacua Receiving Yards o71.5

The primetime game tonight sees the Eagles traveling to Los Angeles to take on the Rams. The Rams have had an up and down season thus far. They are 5-5 and are in the thick of the tight NFC West divisional race. The Eagles have been rolling and are starting to look like a Super Bowl Contender. The player that will be one of the keys to victory for the Rams will be Puka Nacua. After missing some games to injury, Puka has come back into the fold with a vengeance. The past two weeks, he in averaging over 100 yards receiving. He has achieved over 72 yards in 3 out of the 4 full games that he has played in. He faces a tough Philadelphia pass defense, but I have a feeling that the Rams will be passing the ball a lot during the game. They are the underdogs so they will most likely be trailing. Additionally, they do not run the ball that efficiently so Matthew Stafford will have to put on one of his great performances tonight.

Parlay (+420)
  • Bucky Irving 50+ Rush Yards
  • Austin Ekeler Rush and Receiving Yards o47.5
  • David Montgomery TD
