What a start to the NFL season it has been. Fans are currently overreacting to everything that has taken place over the weekend. Teams are going to the Superbowl while others are already calling for heads (looking at you Daniel Jones). The week 1 action is not over yet though. We have one more primetime matchup tonight with the New York Jets flying across the country to San Fran to face the 49ers. There are plenty of storylines in this game to go through, but we are going to focus on the best bet for tonight. We went 4-1 in our first 5 Best Bets and want to finish the week on a strong note. First things first, here is the Best Bet:

Jets @ 49ers
The 9ers are coming off a season where they lost their last game in the Superbowl. The offseason was filled with headlines about Brandon Ayuiks and Trent Williams contract situations. Talks of a Superbowl hangover are going to plague this team unless they win the big game. They come into this game with a litany of weapons on offense and a high caliber defense. On the other side of the field, there is a similarly talented team. The Jets are trying to turn their franchise around and have put all their eggs into the Aaron Rodgers basket. After lasting 4 snaps last season, Rodgers has to be chomping at the bit to get back on the field and show the world that he can still spin it. Both of these teams tout a stingy defense. The 9ers were 3rd in points allowed while the Jets were 12th in 2023. These teams do not have a ton of recent history against each other with the most recent game being in 2020 where the 49ers blew the Jets out. This is not the same Jets team. With that being said, it will most likely be a low scoring affair in a game that can truly go either way. So, I am looking at player props once again.
The 49ers pass defense is their “weak” point that the Jets should be attacking. They were 14th in the league in pass yards allowed last season. Up front, they boasts one of the best pass rushes in the league with the guys that they have. Rodgers will need to get the ball out quickly or throw some screens in order to slow down the pass rush. He has the perfect weapon coming out of the backfield for that type of game plan. Breece Hall averages 33.6 receiving yards a game. He averaged 4.4 receptions per game last season. He is going to be a focal point of this offense all season long. The 9ers defense will be focused on Garrett Wilson in the pass game which means that Breece is going to be a checkdown option for Rodgers. Rodgers is a veteran quarterback who knows how to take what the defense is giving him. If they are allowing Breece to get out in space, the yards should stack up fairly quickly. Taking his receiving over seems to be the Best Bet for tonight.
