NFL Week 2: Best Bets for Sunday

4 Player Props for Today’s Games

As we enter Week 2, we have some teams trying to prove that their Week 1 wins were not a fluke while other teams are trying to avoid the dreaded 0-2 starts. For us, we are looking to have a similar betting week as we did last week. We started off with a miss on Thursday (unless you had injury protection on) with DJ Moore coming up short. Now, we are hoping for a clean sweep on Sunday. I have gone through the slate today and picked 4 Best Bets for the day and provided some background on each. I have also included Jamie’s pick of the week. Let’s make some money!

Best Bet Background – Saquon Barkley Rush Yards over 80.5

We have our first repeat appearance on the Best Bets list and it is only Week 2. Barkley brought it home for us in Week 1 against the Commanders and I am hoping that he makes it 2-0 for us on the year. He is facing a Titans defense that just let up 152 rush yards to the Jets in a blowout loss. The Eagles are a much more capable team than the Jets and should take care of the Titans fairly easily. The Eagles defense has proven to be able to shut down Tennessee’s OC Brian Daboll’s offense from his days with the Giants. That leads me to believe that the Eagles are going to be leading early in this game and will be relying on Barkley to run down the clock.

Best Bet Background – D’Andre Swift Rush Yards over 61.5

D’Andre Swift got off to a great start for 2026 with a 124 yard and 3 TD performance in Week 1 against the Panthers. He set the bar high for this rushing attack. This week, he will face a tougher defense in the Minnesota Vikings who just held the Packers to 66 yards last week. However, the Bears are built for the run much more than the Packers and will find themselves in a position where they need to run the ball. There are a few factors at play that indicate that this will be a run heavy game for the Bears. The first factor is the fact that the Bears like to run the ball. Their entire offense is predicated on establishing and maintaining the run. The second factor will be the weather. Chicago is forecasted to get storms and rain during game time. Swift will be an integral part of this game as the pass game might not be an option due to weather. The third and final factor will be their own defense. The Bears defense is not built to stop anyone. They need their offense to run the ball effectively to keep the ball away from the offense. Swift has had some success against the Brian Flores defense, going over the 64-yard mark in 2/4 last matchups. He should be able to pass it today.

Best Bet Background – Kaelon Black Rush Yards over 37.5

Despite Christian McCaffery being the lead back in San Francisco, Kaelon Black out carried him in Week 1. Black had 14 carries to CMC’s 10. Black ran for 65 yards in his NFL debut against the Rams. He is in the perfect system for running backs with Kyle Shannahan calling plays. The 49ers are heavily favorited (13.5 points) in this matchup against the Dolphins this week. The Dolphins just allowed 130 yards to the Raiders last week. The 49ers run game is much more potent than the Raiders. The 9ers will most likely find themselves in the lead for a majority of this game. Kaelon Black should play a large role again in today’s game as the complementary back to CMC. If the game gets out of hand, he could very well take over as the primary back while CMC gets some rest. Either way, I think Black should be able to find 38 yards against a weak opponent.

Best Bet Background – Alec Pierce Receiving Yards over 44.5

The Sunday Night Game will be played between the Colts and the chiefs. The Colts are coming off of a blowout loss to the Ravens in Week 1 and are looking to bounce back. The Chiefs were on the opposite side of the coin last week when they blew out the Broncos in primetime. If the Colts are going to have any chance of beating the Chiefs, they need to get their pass game going. It will be a tough task against a Chiefs secondary that only allowed 115 pass yards to the Broncos last week. However, the Colts have a better passing attack than the Broncos and should be able to gain some more yards than Denver. If that is the case, they will most likely lean on Alec Pierce to move the ball downfield. Last year, he was the leading receiver for Daniel Jones and clearly became his most trusted target. Last week, he had 61 yards against the Ravens. I think he should be able to rack up 45 yards tonight against the Chiefs.
